  • Development of sensor technology: This team has established experience in sensing technology along with expertise in sensor preparation, device fabrication, development of state-of-the-art electronics and logics, simplified housing and performance analysis. The team has published one peer-reviewed research article and several patents on virus sensing, VOC sensing, moisture sensing and temperature sensing.
  • Carbon-based nanomaterials and conducting polymer composite design and synthesis: The team has the expertise and proven experience in carbon-based functionalized nanomaterials synthesis like carbon and graphene quantum dots, RGO-based conducting polymer ink and solvent less carbon based piezoelectric ionic liquid etc for sensing application. We have a proven track record in the field including one patent from Opteev and publications by Dr. L. Bhattacharjee.
  • Conducting polymers and molecular materials: This team has developed several different conducting polymers on various supports with fine-tuned properties. Led by Dr. N. Halder, this team has a solid background in organic polymerization and crucial organic synthesis focused on molecular machine applications and drug discovery.
  • Hardware development, integration and validation: Mr. S Pathak has design and validation experience in Electrochemical analyser, Multi-sensor and actuator based  system, 4G smart streetlight. His expertise will lead the team to develop, integrate and validate hardware and IoT functionalization.
  • Sensor functionalization: Dr. R Supekar leads the Life science team, with her expertise in Biotechnology, Molecular biology and Virology, she has experience in functionalizing the sensor with target (viruses, bacteria) specific antibodies/aptamers/peptides and related research. Ms. S Paul with her background in Microbiology provides valuable assistance and inputs in planning and executing the experiments.
  • Materials and sensor characterization: Dr. Soumyo Chatterjee leads the sensor fabrication and characterization tasks with his expertise in solid state device physics, solar cells and thin-film fabrication. Along with that he has solid background in optoelectronics and redox experimentation for the development of photoactive and chemiresistive materials for sensing and energy applications.
  • Prototype designing, development and 3D printing: With his vast industrial experience in this area, Mr. S Maji leads the mechanical development tasks. He has expertise in prototype designing using modern softwares, prototype development through 3D printing using different materials such as ABS, PLA etc.
  • Sensor hardware and sensitivity testing: Expertise of Mr. T Ghosh and Mr. S Dey as testing engineers will play a pivotal role in validation and optimization of sensor hardware and sensitivity testing. They have first hand experience in manual and automation testing that includes testing and validation of prototypes, system functionality, IoT  and biosensors.
